Grade Level: 9-12

 

In this course students will learn basic woodworking skills they will be able to use for the rest of their lives either as a hobby or as a foundation for a career. Safety, quality and respect for the trades will be stressed as students produce projects incorporating the skills they learned in class. The course will be classroom and hands on in the shop environment. Evaluation will consist  of tests, papers and projects.

 

 

Materials and Processes 2

Grade Level: 9-12

 

In this course students will build upon the skills they learned in Materials and Processes 1. There will be field trips to local businesses and the opportunity to produce a more advanced project in the shop. Safety, quality and respect for the trades will be stressed as students produce projects incorporating the skills learned in class. The course will be classroom and hands-on in the shop environment. Evaluation will consist of tests, papers, and projects.
